Q: What is my incentive to attend?
A: To become a better writer and build a community.
Q: How will this workshop improve my writing?
A: You’ll receive experienced feedback in order to improve and get produced.
Q: Is The Complete Theatre Company planning on staging any of the material presented?
A: Yes, we will pick pieces that work for the company and produce them in our theatre in midtown!
Q: What do you mean by network?
A: There will be planned time to socialize.
Q: How will I “create on the spot?”
A: We’ll give you writing prompts. So in this workshop you’ll actually write.
Q: Who can join? Do I have to know anyone in the group to be invited?
A: We welcome all who wish to enroll.
Q: How many pages can I bring in to be read aloud?
A: From one to fifteen.
Q: Do I have to come in with printed scripts for all of the characters?
A: We really encourage you to do this! However, we’re open to you sending scripts out digitally to the readers in the room should your work be selected.
Q: What if I have a poem, a monologue, or a song I want to bring in? Is that okay? Or does it have to be a script?
A: We’re primarily focused on playwriting and screenwriting but are open to all forms of written expression.
Q: Will you provide performers?
A: Yes, your work will be read by seasoned actors.
Q: Can I bring in more than fifteen pages to be read aloud?
A: In the interest of serving the greater good and group dynamic we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to read more than the allotted amount.
Q: Is there an instructor or is this just a think-tank bouncing off ideas?
A: The workshop be led by Annie Ward, the Artistic Director of The Complete Theatre Company. She has taught almost a thousand classes to working artists and has produced over sixty shows in New York City.
Q: Can the other writers in the room also give me notes on my content?
A: During the social breaks everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions about the work presented. The evening is designed to be a collective experience.

Q: If I enroll for eight weeks are those consecutive?
Q: Can I join at any time or are there start and end dates to each eight week session?
A: You can absolutely enroll at any time. This is ongoing, year round. There are no start and end dates.
Q: Why is this so affordable?
A: It’s our intention to make this accessible and something you can commit to long-term.
